Tonight we had a wonderful evening of good food (prepared by Clay), laughter, educational learning and a business meeting. Clay, our two daughters, and our son-in-law were all present, but we were minus our son, Nathan, who had to work. We had four Yorkshire Terriers running around when our daughter and son-in-law brought their two over. It was quite the circus at times, but they are all so lovable.
All in all, it was a productive meeting where we continue to learn and navigate our way through the ever changing, ever challenging, but oh so fun world of self publishing and social media promotion. I love that my family is so involved and doing so voluntarily. They are all such a help, much more knowledgeable in social media than me, but I continue to learn something new each day, which I think that is what it is all about. Knowledge is power, education is fun and family is a blessing.
I tell them all the time, but I am not quite sure they understand just how much it means to me to have them in my corner, helping me through this maze and giving me the strength to step out into uncharted territory, at least for me. They have put me so far ahead of the learning curve so as to free up my time to do what I love to do and that is to write.
We topped the evening off with the last pieces of our Anniversary cake which Clay made for me Tuesday and it was just as delicious tonight.
What special memories did you make tonight?
Have a peaceful night.
