BLUE MOON - Chapter 10, Excerpt 3
Everywhere Demetri scanned he was seeing people in leather like he was, some wearing much less, well a whole lot less, and some of the more extreme outfits were better left to the imagination than described. One guy, with a shaved head and a red beard was looking especially hot in his skin tight black vinyl pants, black vinyl tank trimmed in white and knee high black leather boots. Another man wearing black leather chaps with a black leather jock strap, leather biker boots, with no shirt on but did have some dog tags around his neck. One girl had on a black bra, with a tiny, tiny black vinyl skirt, webbed stockings and a black thong under the skirt, which kept rising up, as she would bend over to pick up her cocktail off of the coffee table. Demetri could go on and on about outfits, but it didn’t matter, he loved it all. He loved their uniqueness, their fearlessness, their rebellion to public rules and norms. He had to applaud anyone who stood up for themselves and just lived their life on their terms. As long they are not hurting anyone else, who the hell cares, and if they do care, then they seriously need to get a damn life.
BLUE MOON - Chapter 9, Excerpt 1
Brandy and Alex followed her over to the dream section of the book shelves and they began scanning the shelves for titles while Gina went into the back part of the store to begin looking at her vast collection of books. As she scanned them her mind began to think about the man in the store and his many, many tattoos. He was a gorgeous man, no doubt, and his tattoos added such an intrigue to him. The lady he was with, she was a beauty as well. Gina had been with many people over the years but she seemed to be leaning more towards girls lately. But she had to admit if either one or both of them asked her to play she would be all over it.
Gina started mentally chastising herself for letting herself even consider such an option and told herself these people are here for her help and all she can do is fantasize about getting them both in bed. Real professional Gina kept going through her mind. But there was something about this man, something about his eyes, his smile, his tattoos that all called out to her.
BLUE MOON - Chapter 8, Excerpt 2
When she moved to Tulsa a few years ago she met Alex. She would be lying if she said there were not some sparks between them and they have fooled around on occasion but for the most part they both concluded they were much better friends than they were lovers. But neither of them were the type of person that needed someone in their lives to make them whole. They were great companions and if they ever so desired they were there for each other sexually. It was a perfect setup, FWB, friends with benefits. Although it had been some time since they used the benefit card of their friendship; for the most part they were both self-sufficient and both beautiful people who could have whomever they wanted, when they wanted.
People seemed to be drawn to Alex and Brandy, men and woman, and both seemed to be equally as enthralled with his tattoos as they were her long legs and blue eyes. But one cannot dismiss the pure natural beauty of Alex; those dark eyes of his were just mysterious enough they drew in everyone he met, well most everyone.
BLUE MOON - Chapter 8, Excerpt 1
Brandy Helmsworth wasn’t always a beautiful girl but she was used to getting what she wanted. She learned this from an early age she could ask anything of her parents or even her grandparents and it would happen. The only child of Ralph and Gerty Helmsworth, a family originally from England, they opted to raise their only daughter to be an atheist. Why her family ended up in Hutchinson, Kansas, Brandy will never truly know as they were tight lipped about things and when she would bring it up they always shut her down by saying “Brandy, we live for the future, not the past, so why must you bring up hurtful things from the past.” This was always enough to make Brandy feel guilty and shut her up at the same time.
Brandy was always authentically curious as a child, always reading, always paying attention in class, especially science which fascinated her. She was considered a geek growing up; she was taller than most girls in her class and a little lanky. Brandy didn’t have to deal with bullying too much because when the local pretty, popular girl thought she would attempt to keep Brandy in check, well Brandy just hauled off and smacked her right in the nose. She was expelled for three days but it put an end to the girl’s reign of terror before it even started. Brandy didn’t condone violence, but she believed in protecting yourself and your loved ones.

“I have no fucking idea how this could happen, I don’t know if it was psychic connection, spiritual connection or just bad ass timing but it happened Brandy and I need you of all people to believe me” Alex Rogers
BLUE MOON - Chapter 6, Excerpt 1
“This is Kathy Reed coming to you live with breaking news from the Riverside Drive and 41st Street vicinity. A yet unidentified male was found dead, nude and duct taped to a tree close to the Arkansas River today apparently in what some are saying is a cult type ritual sacrifice. The police are still on scene and have yet to release any names and minimal details but sources say the male had a carving in his chest. The knife was still inside the man’s chest when he was found earlier this morning,” the reporter stated. “We will continue to bring you details as they unfold.”
BLUE MOON - Chapter 5, Excerpt 3
The dirt started giving way where the symbols had been drawn. At first it was a spinning of dirt and sand, and then it started to fall within itself. The hole it was making was beginning to brighten up, making a fiery pit. A large paw, larger than Charles' head reached up from the pit and then another. Then a large, enormous monster demon hound, much larger than a grizzly bear made its way out of the ground, jaws filled with teeth as big as any of Charles’ fingers and bloody looking drool falling from its mouth. Another one just as big and fierce as the last made its way out of the pit. Both hounds were circling around Charles and snapping at him as they did. Charles unable to run could do nothing but stand there and hope this was not happening; hope this was not what he thought it was. He had led a good life, he was a decent man so why did this not seem like angels were coming for him? Why did it feel like he was being led to the gates of hell itself?
BLUE MOON - Chapter 5, Excerpt 2
Charles was once again caught by the beauty of river at dawn with all the lights playing off the water from surrounding buildings. He thought it one of the most beautiful areas of the city and felt one day Tulsa would make an even bigger mark on the tourism industry once they started doing more projects to play up the river and its proximity to downtown. Other cities had done it right and were reaping the rewards of a booming tourism industry and he felt confident Tulsa was headed in the right direction.
Charles heard someone jogging up behind him and moved over to the edge of the path so the person could jog past him but the person was just keeping pace behind him. Before Charles could do anything he felt a painful blow to the back of his head and, felt the dizziness and a nauseous feeling and he knew he was going down, he was passing out. Charles hit the ground near the Quik Trip Park around 41st and Riverside.
BLUE MOON - Chapter 5, Expert 1
Charles Wilson was a man of discipline and structure. It was Monday, August 12th, and for the most part it was a typical morning, other than the fact it was his birthday. Charles would get up each morning at 4:00 a.m. get his jogging gear on and be out the door of his Riverside Drive and Denver area condo by 4:30 a.m. and head on his morning jog. Charles loved this time of the morning when there were few cars on the road; the sky was still dark with the night. When the weather was just right he could hear birds singing an early morning song as he made his way down the jogging path that ran alongside Riverside Drive and the Arkansas River.
A typical jog for him would be leaving his house which was just north of 21st and Riverside and jogging down to Interstate 44 and Riverside, which was right around 51st Street, before turning around and heading back. This gave him a good six miles of jogging before he would get home, shower and shave, read the morning paper while having his coffee and by 9:00 a.m. he was comfortably sitting in his office chair at the downtown Bank of America building.
