As he sat there looking at the man, giving up on anyone coming to help him, Alex began to think he was never going to get out of here. He was going to die down here like this man. No one was coming to help him and no one knew he was down here. He hadn't even told Brandy he was coming to the club tonight, let alone thinking about coming down into the basement. If Alex was a part of any organized religion, he knew this was the time he would have started praying for divine intervention. But it was too late, wasn't it? No one was going to listen to a man who had chosen years ago to not believe in a God who would allow horrible things like this happen to people.
Alex was once again startled back from his thoughts. He could hear something down the hallway. “Help, help me please,” Alex begged in a soft voice almost afraid to see who or what was coming.
